We’re super-excited to host the first Porchfest in Sebastopol, CA.

  • Will there be another PorchFest in 2025?

We're glad you asked. We certainly hope so! 100% of the feedback we've received is a resounding YES, we should.

That said, if you have any concerns, comments or recommendations for a possible PorchFest 2025, please let us know. We will be discussing this at our next board meeting so let us know now to get your feedback to us.

  • Who played?

Please visit our artists' pages to support them!

Only about 30 up-and-coming local acts you may or may not know about. We've been keeping our ears to the ground and have hand-picked what we think is a super line up that spans genre, age, experience and gender.

We're happy to promote these acts who are playing for FREE to support this event. The musicians are listed on this page.

Tip jars for the bands will be located at each stage. They mostly all have Venmo as well.

A printable .pdf of the main schedule is here.

  • Will there be beer and wine?

For our first year, this is mostly a BYO food/drink and a zero waste event. There will be some beer and wine available. For guaranteed results, treat it like a day in the park.

We've secured a beer donation from Old Caz! Wine provided by Hook & Ladder! Thank you!

Bring your own cup and be a star!

We look forward to food trucks and a bar area next year.

  • Where shall I park?

Around Ives Park there is ample parking and there are lots near the Center for Arts, HopMonk Tavern, CVS and around the Barlow. Here's a printable map.

Pro tip: park at the Barlow overflow lot which is on Morris Street across from the after party at the Crooked Goat. From there it's a 10 minute walk through the Barlow to the festival. You can pick up a box lunch at The Farmer's Wife (big music supporter), Acre Pizza or one of the other Barlow fine establishments.

Here's a parking map for free parking created by the City of Sebastopol.

  • Will there be food trucks?

Not this year but there are plenty of fine, local options within walking distance to the festival. Mexican, asian, healthy American, burgers.. you name it.

Visit a downtown establishment and be back in a snap for more music.

Bring your own cup and be a star!

  • Should I bring a lawn chair?

Good question! Yes, probably a light one you can carry around from stage to stage. The street will be closed off to traffic so you can set up wherever you'd like.

  • Will there be restroom facilities?

Yes, we have hired a local vendor, Honey Bucket to provide Porta-potties.

  • Who is putting this on?

Your neighbors! We are musicians, artists and fun-loving souls who believe in hands-on community participation.

    Here's who.

  • Can I donate or sponsor a band or stage?

Yes! We are dependent on your tax-deductible donations and sponsorships. You can sponsor a band, a stage or just give to this worthy cause.

Help Sponsor this event or Donate here.

Checks can be made out to, "Sebastopol Porchfest Association."

  • Is this a dog-friendly event?

Yes! If your dog is crowd-friendly and you bring poop baggies, we love dogs.

    Zero waste is our goal.

  • What is PorchFest?

Porchfest is free and open for anyone to attend or perform. Performances take place on porches, and in driveways, in a celebration of our vibrant creative community.

Porchfest began in the Fall Creek and Northside neighborhoods of Ithaca, New York in 2007, inspired by some outdoor ukulele playing and a conversation between neighbors. They came up with the idea for it that day and gathered 20 bands to make it happen in September of that year. The number of independent Porchfests has increased every year since then, with an official 225 porchfests around the world in 2024 including Canada and Australia.

  • How can I be involved?

This is going to take a village. Go to this page to see what we need and how you can be involved in this one-of-a-kind-in-Sebastopol event.

We are still looking for volunteers!

  • Are you closing off the street?

YES! We worked with the City of Sebastopol and the Sebastopol Police to ensure High street will be closed to non-resident traffic for the day.

This is a community-building event that promotes sustainability, neighborhood cohesion, resilience and good times.

  • Is there an after-party?

YES! We are having a special event that evening at The Crooked Goat in the Barlow at 7pm featuring music by Anna Jae.

  • Where is this event taking place?

Downtown Sebastopol, CA. This event is located on High Street in Sebastopol between Calder and Palm Avenues. There will be 5 stages all within walking distance.

Our awesome community wishes for your respect for our neighborhood by packing out your trash and generally being kind. We live here and our neighborhood rocks.

  • Who else does PorchFest?

Hundreds of communities around the world!

  • Who is the Sebastopol PorchFest Association?

We are music lovers and community organizers. We have started a non-profit, the Sebastopol PorchFest Association, in order to receive donations and in-kind sponsorships.

We have a 5-member board, have regular meetings with minutes and have a non-profit bank account at Community First Credit Union in Sebastopol.

  • Can I busk there?

Sure, why not? This is a neighborhood event and there will be spaces where the stage sounds won't be loud.
